Chip Carving

Ages 16 & Up

Chip Carving is a style of carving in which knives or chisels are used to remove small chips of the material from a flat surface in a single piece. Decorative patterns can be of a free form style or based on simple geometric figures, such as triangles, circles, simple lines and curves. Students will learn drawing, drafting and proper tool technique. Students will be given a set of Flexcut carving tools to keep.
