Students will learn all about CNC systems. In the first session participant will learn how to use design software at the LISD Tech Center. We will design a 12" x 20" sign with whatever logos or phrasing they decide. After designing, students will learn how to create tool paths for the machine and how to export the new design to the CNC.
In the 2nd session we will learn how to mount sign medium on the CNC table with various clamping methods. After their custom signs are carved, students will learn how to finish their freshly machined project. This includes incorporating hand tool carving into their design.
A general knowledge of how to operate a computer is required.
